~About Orchid Rain~
Lewd first person shooter daring to explore the sexual possibilities of the FPS genre. Featuring playful erotism and cartoonish violence, Orchid Rain will let you choose your playstyle by giving you non-lethal, as well as more dangerous weapons. With a coming vast selections of weapons and equipment in the future, this game will strive to give you huge replayability value with a sandboxish environment where you can hangout and unlock lewd content to play around at your own pace and taste.
~Current features~
- Working AI. You'll find that the current state of the AI, while quirky at moments, works well enough to give you a solid FPS experience. Enemies react to loud noises and communicate under-the-hood to let each other know if the player is around.
- Varied and alive enemies. Enemies generate at runtime with random appearances that determine their size, skin color, personality, hair style, proportions and even their names. On top of that, enemies have voice acting and lip sync. Their personality will determine their voice lines, animations and facial expressions.
- Interactive sex system. I've worked on designing a sex system that will let you take matters into your own hands. With first person sex you can use your mouse to freely move a dildo. I've also released a new and more rich sex system, with multiple animations and more freedom to create your own experience.
- Mod support. You can alter the character's appearances, change voice lines, add accessories or just plainly replace the models with whatever you'd like.
- Map editor. I've worked on making available a Unity project that will let you build not only your own maps for the game, but whole campaigns with missions objectives and dialogues.
~Roadmap~
O. R. is still in an early stage of development. These are some of the main features I'm planning to add to the game.
- A varied arsenal of weapons. The more, the merrier.
- A full campaign. While I have to first build the core systems of the game, I have a story I want to tell, and will try to make a fun and interesting campaign for you to get to know my characters and world better.
- Replayable game modes. I want to keep adding different ways to play the AI. A game mode like TABS is a possibility. I'm also considering a rogue-like mode and some sort of deathmatch mode as well. I want to give you the ability to create your own experience.
- Finishing The Insititute. This will be a sandbox area that will serve as some sort of hub between missions. Here you can customize your game, unlock content, play around with stuff and interact with characters. You can think of it like the Carrington Institute in Perfect Dark.
- More and better voice acting. I will continue to add voice acting to the game. I'm constantly tweaking and adding to the AI, so I'm still defining what the exact voice lines will be.
~My community proposition~
As you've probably seen, I sell old builds of the game on itch.io. I understand this isn't a common practice, but I've found that there's tons of people that are happy to support the game that way and that don't like using Patreon. You are encouraged to use Patreon if you want to get a slightly better deal. I do require your help with this, as I'm really betting big on this project. With more support I can continue to invest in the game. Not only my time, but I can expand my team and buy better tools. Those things would make development faster.
Once the game gets completed, I'd continue using Patreon to keep adding content. Basically, if the community wants something, I would add it to the game. If we continue to get funding for this game, it will continuously get updated with the content you want.
